HEAL THE WORLD

When someone hears such a sentence, he will be temped to ask whether the world is sick. But permit me to tell you that the world is sick. The world of sick and it has a lot of illnesses torturing it. The world is sick of all the disasters that befall it, the world is sick of all the wars destroying it, the world is sick of all the differences that people create, racism, religious differences, and all the other things that savage the world.

            I come to you today to ask you to heal the world. The illness which is eating up the world is not a natural one but it is a fabricated one. We caused all the illnesses that are eating up the world today and it is our place to heal them. From the very dawn of creation, when God created the world, he saw that all that he created was good and he appreciated it. The fact that God said all that he created was good simply meant that the world that he created was in good health. But when God sent me and you in the world, we put everything asunder. We are the ones who spoiled everything so it is our place to repair it. We are the one to heal the world.

            Someone may be tempted to ask how man contributed to the large amounts of floods that we have now a days and I will simply answer you by saying this:

“When God created the world, he put a boundary to everything and he put everything in its place. But today, how many of us are there who have driven away the sea and oceans for our own interest, many of us have built in swampy areas and many of us have crossed the boundary of the land and stepped into that of the sea. When the sea that has been away decides to come back, then all those who have taken his place will be forced to leave. And that is why when we have high tides, many houses are swept away and many lives are lost.

            Moreover what about the ozone layer that has been destroyed, is it not the cause of our numerous experiences? Now we are talking of global warming and I ask myself who is the cause of this? Sure is that all fingers will point at me and you. We cause it all so let’s repair it.

            Now let’s look at the other illnesses of the world. What about the wars, do you know the disaster that wars bring about? Do you know how many lives are lost each time there is a confrontation? Do you know the huge material destruction that is caused, do you know the effects that it has in the environments. I wonder whether you have ever stopped to ponder on all of this. What are the causes of all these; if you asked then you will wonder whether what type of reason you will have. Truly the reasons are ridicule.

            But in all I want you to know that me and you can change things, we can make the world a better place we can put an end to all this illnesses which are killing the world today. The religious differences that we have we can solve them if we decide to. We are all serving the same God though we call Him in different ways. All that changes is the manner of worship and nothing else so why not sit down and solve these differences and put an end to these illnesses that is eating up the world.

            Now a-days power monger people are leading others to support their projects and this is tearing the world apart. Look at the case of Ivory Coast and Libya. If only the leaders of these countries could bring down their personal interest and look for a common interest then all what is happening in these countries wouldn’t have happened. If only people could forget about petrol and money and look at common interest then all will be well in the world. What about the wars, why can’t we understand each other, why can’t we drop our guns and become one, if only we could stand on equal basis then why should we be fighting. If you could look at the person standing next to you as you brother then why will you kill him.

            My solution to all this problems is simple. Just love your neighbour as yourselves. This is the new commandment that Jesus gave us “love one another as I love you says the lord”. If we could only love our brothers and sisters, if you could consider and look at the person beside you as you brother or your sister then things will really change and things will look new. Then the world will be healed. Let the leaders of the world sit down and listen to each other’s point and try to understand each other then things will change, things will look better and the world will a place full of love and joy. Search in your heart and you find a better place, a place where there is great joy, a place where love and peace embrace.... this is how you should make the world look like.
